[Tfug] cell modem router

Erich,

Perhaps I don't understand you completely and this may sound a bit
elaborate, but:

1) plug the USB cellular modem into your Windows or OS X laptop/desktop/etc.

2) IF your laptop has an ethernet interface, plug the outbound port of the
TP-Link router into it. If not, purchase a USB <=> ethernet adaptor and do
likewise.

3) Enable 'connection sharing' or the windows equivalent, for the USB
cellular modem interface, then boot up the TP-Link router.

That should in theory be all you need. Generally the 'connection sharing'
type feature of Windows/OS X will make your machine act as a NAT box and
usually enable a DHCP server on all its' other network interfaces. The
TP-Link router will then get an outbound IP assigned by the Windows/OS X
machine which will route traffic via the default route (the cellular
modem), accordingly.

Then again I understand the desire to use the modem directly from your
OS/box of choice as well.
