[Tfug] Western Digital "red" drives?

Looks like the drive in my system was infact also bad. Not so sure the
cable needed to be replaced. I've lost track, but this is the 4 or 5
time I've had to replace one of the 4 seagate drives in that computer
and on this one the warranty expires in aug of this year. likely the
others are not far behind if they haven't already. And S.M.A.R.T says
one of the drives still has the bugged firmware:

Adding to "monitor" list.
So when/if I have to replace a drive again, I'm going back to WD. They
have a "Red" class that starts at 1Tb. These they rate for server and
raid use. But a bit of googling says they had some problems with the 1T
red drives. Anyone know if this is still true or hear anything one way
or the other about the red line of sata drives? Hopefully it will go
more then a year or 2 this time with out failing. But I like to start
looking into computer parts well before time to buy.
