[Tfug] monitor resolution

I recently threw a box together out of some spare parts I had laying 
around and installed Ubuntu 8.04. When i did the installation, I had a 
pretty minimal AGP video card installed and was unable to get better 
than 800x600. I later found a ATI Rage 9200 which I'm sure is capable of 
a much higher resolution but after installing it, I find that I'm still 
stuck with the low resolution. I assume that something needs to be 
changed in the system files. Does anybody have experience with this? I 
would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks, Malcolm
