Is anyone on the list using the Lego Mindstorms NXT 2.0 kit on Linux?

I've been a long time user of BrickOS with the Mindstorms RCX 1.0 kit. 
Since my kit is wearing out and partly broken, I have been thinking about
purchasing the latest model.

I'm wondering what the experience of others on the list might be with
using the newer kit with Linux.  Anyone use both with Linux?  Would there
be any advantages to me finding parts to rejuvenate my old kit?
