[Tfug] using the Kubuntu 7.04 release for the older PIII hardware

I would like to thank the person (you know who you are at World Care) who posted that they were using the Kubuntu 7.04 release for the older PIII hardware they had. That was a near life saver for me. I couldn't get my 8 year old Dell Inspiron 7500 PIII, 450 MHz notebook to even recognize the Kubuntu 7.10 live CD. I had SUSE 8.2 from April, 2003 running on the 'puter and it was way too tired to work effectively.

Kubuntu's 7.04 & 7.10 processor architecture is listed as the same. I wonder what causes the difference? http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=kubuntu
