Jim,

Is there any reason not to back up to 7.04?  Ubuntu seems to pretty well have that one working.  I've had no problems on it since I got my Dell in mid-August other than the Wifi Manager which I fixed with WICD.

They have FVWM Crystal available which is kind of glitzy and pretty small.
