More info - when I run now, I get two dependency failures:

--> Processing Dependency: xorg-x11-deprecated-libs = 6.8.2-1.FC3.45.2 for
package: xorg-x11-deprecated-libs-devel
--> Processing Dependency: xorg-x11-devel = 6.8.2-1.FC3.45.2 for package:
xorg-x11-deprecated-libs-devel

Error: Missing Dependency: xorg-x11-deprecated-libs = 6.8.2-1.FC3.45.2 is
needed by package xorg-x11-deprecated-libs-devel
Error: Missing Dependency: xorg-x11-devel = 6.8.2-1.FC3.45.2 is needed by
package xorg-x11-deprecated-libs-devel

after which the whole process grinds to a halt.  A quick run of "yum list
installed" shows both of those packages installed.  I've also mucked out
the /var/cache/yum directory numerous times, with no apparent change in
behavior.
