[Tfug] remotely access 2wire 2700 dsl modem

my actiontec dsl modem has a web interface, its 4+ years old so is not 
current...
anyway I have a block of IP addresses that I add to the DSL modem's 
routings, I can see any machines on those IP's but not the DSL modem 
from outside. However on those machines I can see the DSL modems web 
interface fine... it may be possible to setup some port forward, but I 
ssh into one of the routed computers and run Lynx web browser to change 
the modem. The down side is when it locks up I have to power cycle it. I 
need a little power supply with a network interface that can be 
configured to grep the dsl modem's web interface, and  power cycle if it 
gets loss of signal.

If your setup is all NAT'ed then have the modem forward a port to a 
system with ssh, then run Lynx through that.
