Well, I've killed and restarted e2fsck using the -y option and added -C 0
to get a progress bar. It ramped up to 2.7% done in about a minute (Pass
1) and has been sitting there for the last 15 minutes. No other messages
or warnings other than the initial warning that the disk contains errors.
>From what I could tell, the program was between 3% and 4% done when I
killed it. Am I dealing with a seriously munged disk? It is a new disk,
written to once (a cp of about 100GB) on an FC3 system, and FEDEXed to me
from Seattle. I'm starting to think this is not a good way to transfer a
large chunk of data.
