As far as I know, there is a fee for switching ISPs, but it is $30.00 I 
believe.  I'm not really involved in DSL pricing at that level, 
however, so I can't confirm it.  You'll need to have an external DSL 
router in order to use Linux.  If you already have one, which I assume 
you do, you should be golden.

As far as ISPs are concerned, I am a bit partial to my employer... ;)
