[Tfug] No Sound on SuSE Linux for SB Live

Steve,

If /dev/dsp has proper permissions and it is acting like just the volume 
may be too low, you might want to check out /dev/mixer. Also, look into 
a program called xmixer. xmixer is a configuration program for 
/dev/mixer. Might be able to help.
