[Tfug] RH8 Upgrade

Just upgraded from RH 7.2 to 8.0.  This was my first time for an upgrade,
and while it went pretty smoothly I was a little bent by the loss of all my
Gnome desktop settings when it was all done (aside from issues relating to
RH BlueWave, or whatever).  Is this standard for what happens after an
upgrade?  And who decided where to hide all the programs in the menu setup?
 I know they can be all reset to whatever I want (once I figure out how the
diddly-punk to do it), but this setup is almost as bad as the "human
interface engineering" that goes into VCR/CD/DVD remotes.

At least is was much less painful than my last go-around with The Godless
Alternative.
