Short answer is that it depends on your card.  Figure out what type of
card you have and you'll quickly figure out if it's supported.  One
resource that you should be aware of is the linux-thinkpad.org mailing
list.

p.s. If you're stuck with a proprietary card, chatter on the list has
been that the NDIS wrapper does a pretty good job.
