That was the reference I was working with and it didn't seem to separate 
the pieces of information well enough.  I stuck with it though and think 
I had something but then found out that because of the change in name 
from rtl8139 to 8139too my network wasn't up.  I have just solved that 
and as I am writing this I just got ifconfig to look right.  I will know 
in a minute if it's all in place.

The masquerading is not working yet but I'll beat on it for a while. 
The first I was trying just to extract just enough lines from that 
example to get it going but this time I'll start with the complete example.
