[Tfug] 802.11b Pringle Can Antennas

Consider the topic.

As someone who is relatively new to Linux, I've been able to learn a lot
from this list...

But I've also found the list to be excessively dry, boring, and
intimidating in a "let's all pretend we're professionals" kind of way.

I had honestly hoped that local Linux users would prove more interesting
and that there would be some sense of excitement about everything that's
going on with Unix-based systems.

Instead I occasionally read a long and boring thread that could have
just as easily been resolved with "RTFM" or instructions to navigate to
/etc and configure the appropriate file...

Or threads like this one with somebody asking how to make an antenna out
of a pringles can.

Hell, 90% of the people at TCS are over 60 and their Listserv is 100
times more interesting than this one. And these are people who are
primarily using Windows.

Anyway, if this is the culture that is developing around the Linux OS, I
doubt it stands much of a chance at ever gaining any kind of market share.

I can sum it all up in a single word:

Losers.
