For those that are also confused about the relationship and 
differences regarding security and privacy, there are options if 
you are paranoid about RedHat Network. I couldn't care less about 
having "my" profiles with hardware and RPM details kept on RHN. 
First consider:

If after looking at this you think Red Hat is too stupid or 
untrustworthy to have your "valuable system information", perhaps 
some perl scripts for updating RedHat might make you feel better:

But why screw around with those? up2date RULES!
