I looked at some stuff for dansguardian but it appears to be geared at
setting up one machine as a barrier for a group of others.  In this
case just one guy wants to block *himself*.

Trust me, it ain't me :).

I'll read up on openDNS...but I think the guy in question just needs
to hammer on "CTRL-Q" (quit Firefox) when he accidentally hits
something wonky...
