[Tfug] newbie has a glitch

  How is everyone? I finally had the chance to download an operating 
system to try some Linux [ubuntu not sure which ver.] I went to install 
and everything seemed okay ,but could not log into system .  I am not 
sure where  I went wrong  and would like to re try  , but  are unsure 
how to uninstall. I am very new at this and have been studying linux 
lightly.Can anyone help ? I would like to try this out.
