[Tfug] Linux PVRs

 Now that I'm actually going to have cable, I would
like to get a Linux PVR built.  I have a spare Athlon
1.4 GHz box lying around and I can throw Ethernet and
a 160 GB hard disk and a DVD-R in it. I'll have Cox
cable.

 I want to be able to record/play back shows of
course, but I'd also like to save some of my faves to
DVD, especially sporting events (Wildcat football!).

 Anyone doing this?  Recommendations for TV cards and
other hardware?  What software are people using?
