you do rock, adrian.  you know that, right?

it is totally bright for anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes
after turning
on then black (but you can see stuff on the screen if you look carefully).

i need a cable to be sure but i'm guessing that the card is ok too.

if it's the inverter and you're still doing the ebay thing and there
is no local source
i might ask if you're willing to order for me (i forgot what your fee is).
