[Tfug] So, this is an Ubuntu Hour AZ Loco event? Will users have ample opportunity to install other distros?

Good to know. Back in 2003, I was one of the original organizers for the
installfest at UAT. Each installfest is different but I will note that
usually Ubuntu sponsored events bring only Ubuntu media. This is really sad
as many people want to be involved in an installfest but are unwittingly
supporting and assisting Ubuntu.
Some may say that Linux is Linux. However, at some of our installfests, the
Ubuntu Presence is a deterrent and they definitely push Ubuntu.
This is NOT what an installfest is about. By sponsorship, do you meant
Todd's bringing cables and a switch or something?
Why have Ubuntu sponsor an installfest. Seems self serving.
We have had multiple issues with Ubuntu being a part of the installfest in
Phoenix, everything ranging from not informing users of Ubuntu's spyware
opt in to pushing Ubuntu over other distros.
If Ubuntu users volunteer, I suppose a majority of users will be getting
Ubuntu then.
It's a vicious cycle.
