[Tfug] OT: T8 LED

Hi,

Anyone have any first (or second) -hand experience with
T8 LED replacement lamps?  Either ballasted or ballast free?

We're looking for a "long, skinny" light source here and
T8 is the intuitive choice.  But, prefer a more modern
technology (as well as less "hazardous" than conventional
T8's as this will be in a location where it is easily
"disturbed").

Not keen on shelling out lots of money for lamps and fixtures
only to discover they are "disappointing" as light sources
(poor color temperature, directionality, etc.)

Hopefully, someone has either installed similar items in
their home/business in the past *or* visited a location
with same.
