[Tfug] Punched cards and paper tape.

That is cool, my electronic skills were never quite sharp enough to build
hardware, but it is fun to play with. I use mostly Windows systems today, I
know that UNIX/Linux would be better but the changeover would be too
difficult.

 

It was wise of me to put a TV next to my computer so I have something to
watch while I spend a great deal of time waiting for M$ Windows. :-(

In '69 I did not work on IBM iron, but I designed and built and simple
Half-Adder <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adder_%28electronics%29>  that I
made in to a calculator and then with point to point wiring made a computer
of sorts.  Building various Popular Electronic projects until building an
Altair around 74.  even had an article in Pop-Elect around that time, can't
remember what is was,  a simple light controller

Long after that, I did some statistics at the UA using punch-cards, and I

that was in '78 or '79.
