Totally wrong.  XP is still being sold on new boxes and netbooks.  As of Oct 22 
according to an MS page you will no longer be able to order new computers with 
XP, but if you buy Windows 7 Pro or better you have "downgrade rights" to XP 
Pro.  And XP will be supported through 2014.
