Ok,
        Have you installed xosview? I had screen freezeups too, and by
observing xosview, determined that the problem was a lot more serious
than the xserver freezing.

        With xosview one can see warning signs: any CPU state that
shows red for the entire width of the CPU graph is a sign of impending/
potential failure. If by some mouse action, redlining appears, you will be
