I guess I should have checked my e-mail prior to upgrading my kid's Dell
Inspiron 1500n that came with 8.04. I may be very glad I made recovery
dvds before the upgrade.
I do have to agree with Earl. That's why I stick with Novell SLED
releases, no OpenSuse or cutting edge releases. I have better things to
do with my time.
On the troubleshooting front, I think I would start with uninstalling
gnome/gdm/X. Reboot then reinstall them, but that gets a little tricky,
so a reinstall would be a lot faster.
