The version 2 preview release is kind of unstable for me, especially
when trying to erase USB drives (its main new feature) - the system
load creeps up and eventually it crashes in what I assume is a kernel
panic.

>From what I can tell, the developer is focusing on his non-free EBAN.

I kinda wish someone would port the wiping engine over to something
like NetBSD that can boot/run on pretty much any system.
