[Tfug] THE BIGGEST BUG I'VE EVER SEEN ON MY LAPTOP!!!

OK, I'm running Ubuntu Karmic which just went to beta.

My laptop runs a low-grade Intel dual-core CPU, 965/"x3100" graphics
chip, the usual Intel HDA audio, etc.  Pretty basic.

So last night I'm plugging away, as usual I have Firefox open under
Gnome on one screen, OpenOffice 3.1 on another, business as usual,
when I spot The Bug.

It scurried right across my laptop's screen - about an inch and a half
worth of no-kidding cockroach.

:)

I stared at it, went "you barstard!", ended up chasing it all over the
living room until it scurried behind the fridge.

Dammit.  Anybody know how to "debug" this sucker before it drops half
a gazillion eggs or something?
