[Tfug] [OT] Avoiding having to pay for a DSL ISP?

HI,

I swear I read a post here probably months ago talking about how you
can avoid getting the regular pay DSL ISPs and that you could get some
kind of internal connection for free, it doesn't have e-mail or
whatever (but who cares).  Anyone remember reading this?  I've tried
searching the TFUG archives through google for all sorts of things but
I can't seem to find it.  I remember that they said it was rather
tricky to do because most people in the call center don't even know
about it, and I think that there was a specific name for the internal
"isp"-like connection, but I cannot recall it.
