Yeah, that doesn't make any sense. There are a few 500G laptop drives
out there, but the most common size for large laptop drives is 320G.
The sweet spot for 3.5" drives seems to be about 1T at the moment.
Your rotational speeds will also always be slower with laptop drives.
There are some 7200 RPM drives on the market---with 5400 RPM being the
most common---but nothing like the 10k or 15k RPM desktop drives.
