Raytheon´s newest product line - Information Security Solutions (ISS)
- is looking for a few good Cyber Professionals. Well, more like 250
by the end of 2009 to be exact. ISS needs your help identifying
candidates for a growing part of our business.

The new domain of cyberspace allows for extensive information sharing
on a large scale. In today's globally interconnected environment the
organization, enterprise or government with the information advantage
will be the dominant player. At the same time, some nations,
criminals, terrorist groups, political activists and corporations
have seized the opportunity created by vulnerabilities in the cyber
world to engage in active information operations against critical
systems. Our nation's adversaries have pushed the cyber domain into a
war-fighting domain -- one that we must aggressively protect.
Raytheon's new ISS product line provides customers with defensive and
offensive capabilities to maintain the integrity of critical
networks and the sensitive data they process. ISS needs Cyber
Professionals who can exercise their wit, cunning and innovative
ideas to fight in the digital cyber war. These Cyber Professionals
will work on a variety of projects related to software protection,
security auditing, vulnerability research and malicious mobile code.

Because of the highly technical nature of this work, having a strong
background in low-level programming and operating systems is
essential for these engineers, as is previous experience with
application security, reverse engineering or malware. ISS Vice
President Steve Hawkins describes a ISS Cyber Professional as a
junior- to senior-level engineer "jazzed by using hand-eye
coordination for tackling complex problems." Hawkins adds that
"engineers who drink Red Bull and Mountain Dew by the caseload to
fight the digital cyber war," are welcome. This includes experienced
engineers as well as college graduates. A majority of these ISS Cyber
Professional positions are located in the Washington, D.C. area, but
ISS will also have openings throughout the country, including Texas
and Florida.
