As to Stallman being a pedo or not:

Some people have very poor (or even non-existent) memories of their
own lives prior to puberty.  I've met a couple of 'em.  Personally, I
think I have one dim memory of mom changing my diapers :).

But anyways...if a person like that didn't understand (or had never
been told) what incredible damage is done to kids by pre-pubescent
sexuality, AND their own memories of that time were hazy, I can
understand how they might hold a view like that and not themselves be
a pedo.

In other words, it's possible he's just ignorant as hell on this issue.

My mom was abused by her dad.  She told me what it does to kids.  It's
absolutely horrific.  I would hope that if he had ever heard a similar
report, he'd change his tune in a hurry.
