This prompts me to ask
a somewhat tangential  question I've been steeping for a good while:
my laptop is Ubuntu Feisty (2.6.16 kernel) / XP dual boot and so far,
I've been avoiding writing to the NTFS partition out of fear that I
might end up with a corrupted fs there.  Does anyone have any input on
the topic?  Thanks,
