The Lisa came out after Woz and Jobs took a tour of Xerox.  Xerox
didn't complain because they never commercially released the tech -
but there was no agreement between Xerox and Apple.

If Xerox had wanted to complain, they probably could have.  Woz and
Jobs got lucky is all.
