Yeah, I can just see the "model 1.0" units in flames on the
roadside -- until they sort out the *real* issues with using
Li in a battery that size!  Just like the wonderful research
that went into REAL WORLD issues that *now* crop up in the 
DTV issue...
On a related note, I wonder what sort of internal current limitingthese batteries will have.  E.g., IIRC, a normal lead-acid battery is
internally fused at something like 2000A (?).  And *it* can
easily "fuse metal" that happens to come in contact with both
battery terminals.  Imagine what a *big* battery could do!!
(cripes, you could probably weld the car's *frame* with a short
there!)
