Maybe instead of placing just the link in the table you could place a script
that would include the parameters?

Alright, people didn't go for that for various reasons. One of them being
that you can't track changes.
So I've been working on this stuff and I think there is something wrong with
my approach. So here's the run-down:
1. you have a table that links to various folders, all containing similar
documents 2. I'm trying to use a template, and a scripting language, any
scripting language, but I was thinking php.
3. when a link in a table gets clicked, it calls a script that fills in the
some variables in template to build the webpage for a document's revisions
and other associated files.
The problem that I'm running into is that as far as I can tell, there is no
way of passing information, i.e. parameters to a script if it's called from
a link, as opposed to a form. If I could do this, this would be a very
simple page.
Any suggestions? It would be really awesome if the above statement about
scripts, links and parameters were wrong. A google search didn't help. I
thought Smarty might be a solution too, I think it's bound by the
anchor/link limitation as well.
