Yes, these both deal with the sort of issue I'm trying to address.
I already handle many of the "property" issues mentioned in the
PARC project. This is a win as many of them can be done *for*
the user without his concious effort (read: he will typically
not be disciplined enough to ensure these things are done
otherwise!).
But, my question is intended to be more abstract -- addressing
the issues that these projects hint at but fail to quantify
(because they are so *hard* to put a handle on!).
I.e., how do people organize things in their minds/locaalities?
I've not been able to come up with any orderly set of criteria
that *I* use -- let alone trying to generalize to how *others*
might impose order on their worlds. :< It, perhaps, is not
something that lends itself to a simple metaphor... ? So, the
lesson learned is just to provide the infrastructure and *hope*
the user figures out how best to apply it to his situation??
