google "Jessie James". You will find out that he lived to a ripe old age
as businessman in South Dakota or somewhere. kool. But, then you see
someone dug up some grave and did a DNA test, "proving" that Jessie died
as said. Dang. However, then you see the DNA test was flawed, some
matter about a tooth or something. Hmmmm. How do you find the "truth" or
prove something on the web (or anywhere)?
The only way i know to find the truth (about statements) is complete
induction. You beak the statement down into cases (often the most
difficult part). Then,
i) you show that the statement holds for case 1 (or 0).
ii) you assume the statement holds for case n. Then, you show that the
statement holds for case n+1.
I can prove that there is no last prime with this.
Most all other "proofs" are based on enummeration: the statement holds
for n cases. This is, of course, no proof.
What to do? I think, just use common sense. Check out things from
"different angles", see if pieces fit together, like in a jury trial.
But, if you have the childish notion that you will find *THE TRUTH* in a
jury trial or the web, well, then google "lobotomy ice pick". Or just go
to your local Margaret Sanger Clinik. EC
