Tom, based on my brief research, EAP is fairly complicated. It is
actually an authentication framework that supports a number of
different protocols, some of which require things like signed
certificates for the Network Access Server, and some for the clients,
too.  Rumor has it that they will eventually release firmware with
WPA-EAP support -- which would basically parallel the approach that
Apple took with the iPhone.  As much as the idea of an "open source
iPhone" appeals to me, I won't be rushing out to get one until the
technology matures some.

In the meantime, I interested in other people's experiences.  This
guy blogged about making his G1 into a garage door opener.  O.o
