No worries, I wasn't directing that at you. Contempt for the
marketroids is standard fare in "unix culture". ;-)

I know very little about the iPhone. The G1 does support WiFi
according to what I've read, but not WPA-EAP (which is used for
authentication in "enterprise" environments). You obviously could
still use an open network, or one that uses WEP, or WPA-PSK.
In time, hopefully we'll see things improve for the G1, or that better
Android phones will hit the market. I'd also like to see more service
provider options than T-Mobile, but I probably shouldn't hold my
breath. I'm speculating that Verizon would never even consider it,
and that AT&T's partenrship with Apple may preclude them as well.
