[Tfug] fedora 9 installation problems

I didnt verify the shalsum. However, I was told that bittorrent did that on its
    own.
    Does the Fedora install have a "check CD for
      defects" function? yes and it finds problems on the cd. If I still need to
use sha1sum could someone explain how to use it. I am doing this on a windows
machine.
