Good luck,
I am unfamiliar with this. With xorg-x11/xorg-server there is a
tendency to put support for
legacy hardware on a back burner. This all started happening when xorg
became modular.
I've had some success with an old box with a ATI r128 chip.
Radeon 128 was supposed
to be the coolest thing for the video game crowd with in its heyday with
DRI.
I couldn't get DRI to work with any combination of modules from
the kernel or
xorg-server. At least that what glixinfo tells me when I test with it.
However, it sure looks
like it's working. All those annoying Adobe Flash-mediated ads run real
quick and smooth
in my browser with very little processor burden. Noatun runs Quicktime
videos with the
same efficiency.
