I asked about WC cuz its often mentioned here. As i was living there,
there wuz no WC. I know this because i was allways scouring Tucson/GV
for puters cuz i wanted at all times at least 1 working puter with the
others to experiment with, often just a MB with power supply. But try as
i did, I just got useless stuff. I needed, of course, at least a 386 for
Linux, never found one. It was fun tho, driving thru Tucson with my
ol'pickup with (useless) puter equipment in the bed. People would grin,
"look Ma, a digital redneck". This is not particular to Tucson, I had
the same experience in Hamburg (home of the Big Mac): just nothing or
useless stuff like piles of AT-boards. So, now with WC, all the usefull
stuff - i knew it was there, somewhere - comes out of the woodwork.
But, it was most fun driving thru Tucson's streets which I got to know
quite well and appreciate, like in Ronstad (or is that Ronstadt? The
(now) french river "Rhon", "Stadt" = city, thus, city on the Rhon) with
the beautiful beautiful dark eyed senorita ( a joung Joan Baez) selling
hot tamales in maise husks...
