What exactly is the "this" to which you refer?

Is it word use?  As best I know, a milliner is specifically a person who
makes women's hats.  I suppose then the the closest male equivalent would
be... a hatter?  Of course, nobody uses either word nowadays.

Or... did you want to *buy* a hat?  :)
