[Tfug] OT: Proposed increase in H1B visas

I read some of that.  Appears she married an astronaut and he started a business.  From the limited amount of reading I have done on her it appears the H1B bill might have something to do with the "family business" not tires... (they sold out to Goodyear I think it was) but the business her husband started.

If I have this correct, there is nothing like getting into office to help your own business at the expense of others.

When she was running for office she put out a commercial that stated she 
used to manage her grandfather's tire business (El Campo Tire) so she's 
qualified to manage a state budget. I kid you not. "Look Daddy I can 
budget too!"

But good for her because she's apparently smarter than all the people 
that voted for her which is really what politics is all about now isn't it?
