I myself find the US to be a less and less friendly hosting environment.
There always seems to be a new "protect people from themselves" or
"suckle at the breast of corporate swine" law passed every year. That
being said, I use Dreamhost...

A quick search for "web host" + "Sweden" (an arbitrary but legally
interesting European country to host in) gives this site:
http://www.webhosting.info/webhosts/tophosts/Country/SE . This contains
the top several web hosts in Sweden ordered by the number of domains
they host.

It looks like you can plug in whichever country code you like and see a
list of links for that country.

So if you are sold on the Swiss:
http://www.webhosting.info/webhosts/tophosts/Country/CH)...

(Full disclosure, they may launder drug money through your website or
claim it as their own if you are, through no fault of theirs, killed by
fascists) :)
