When I moved back to Tucson Cox connected my Internet and Phone within 2 or 3 days of my request. They even came out on Sunday which was the first day I was available to be at our new place. It took about an hour or maybe an hour and a half.
Very painless. I think the installation and equipment was free. I think I did have to buy an upgraded "modem" just before our return because the one I had was 3 or 4 years old and Cox said it was time. I think the cost was about 80 dollars.

Just as an FYI, my mother in law got Cox to install internet (and cable
and phone) with just a few days notice. Middle of town 'tho (Speedway
&
Tucson).
