[Tfug] OT windows: need to vent

EEK!  Overkill.  To fix this all you need to do is put the drive in the target computer and boot off the Windows CD, go into setup and choose Repair, which will preserve all your data and programs (although it will probably overwrite any boot loader you have installed).
 
The problem is that the hardware is too different between the two and so the correct drivers for the new chipset aren't installed. Setup will correct that.
