[Tfug] Troubleshooting Apache crashing

Hi everybody.  I'm pretty new to Linux in general and I have a problem that is outside of my skills.  I have a Debian box that someone else setup running Apache with SSL.  Ever since the other guy installed a new SSL certificate the service crashes randomly. Either Apache or SSL, I'm not sure which. We've been just restarting the server to recover but it's getting to be every day now and I need a real fix.
 
I have no idea how to start troubleshooting this, so I appreciate any bones you can throw my way.  Thanks.
