Hey Matt,

Army boots from Millers Surplus are probably the cheapest, most effective
protection you can get. If you go to CycleGear on Grant and Stone, they have
a large selection of boots. So does Ride Now (22, Prudence), and CSA (22,
Kolb) but they are more expensive because of brand name and all. I started
off with Army boots because I had them (prior service) but switched to some
snazzy Joe Rocket boots after I knew I was going to be riding for a while.
